Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station Sparkling White Melons
Style – Imperial Pilsner w/Sauvignon Blanc
Appearance – Mildly Hazy straw to gold with a white foam head
Nose – That pilsner aroma with white grapes, stone fruit, and melon.
Taste – Nose carries over with sweet melon, peach, pear, and white wine.
Palate – Light/medium bodied, mildly sweet and crisp finish
Overall – A really cool beer by our very own brewer Pedro Vaz Carvalho. An imperial pilsner that uses some updated Berman hops in Hallertau Blanc and Melon. Pedro wanted to play off the uniqueness of these hops into a hybrid lager with Sauvignon Blanc. To make this beer sparkle we added some Cuvee yeast with the Sauvignon Blanc The end result is a wonderful pilsner with some white wine notes. As this beer warms up the fruit really starts to pop through.
