Stone Liberty Station Babewyn

Style – Imperial Russian Stout

Appearance – Dark as dark can be with a tan foam head

Nose – Coffee, Cocoa, Dark fruits, and some deep earthy quality

Taste – Bitter Chocolate, Dark Roast Coffee, Heavy cream with strawberry and blackberry

Palate – Full Bodied with an assertive bitterness

Overall – Who misses Stone Imperial Russian Stout? Well this guy is pretty much Stone Imperial Russian Stout but with Belma hops added and brewed at Liberty Station. Some of the same flavors, but with some extra hops added to the kettle to bring about some berry and dark fruit notes. No it’s not Stone Imperial Russian Stout, but it’s still a really good Imperial Russian Stout.
