Stone Brewing Co. Releases Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0

In June 2002, Stone Brewing Co. introduced the world's first full-time brewed and bottled West Coast double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA. Massively hopped and aggressively bitter, it helped spark the ever-growing desire among legions of craft beer fans for over-the-top hop flavors and aromas. Fast-forward 13 years, new brewing techniques and hops exist to spark inspiration. Stone Co-founders Greg Koch and Steve Wagner decided it was time to utilize this new inspiration and reimagine Stone Ruination IPA. Beginning today, Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0 will start arriving in 12-ounce six-packs, 22-ounce bottles and on draft at retail outlets, bars and restaurants in markets where Stone beers are sold.

And the Stone Spotlight Series Winner is: Drew & Steve's Imperial Mutt Brown Ale

To "spotlight" its brewing team's creativity in 2014, Stone Brewing Co. introduced the Stone Spotlight Series, an annual internal competition celebrating what craft beer is all about: Ingenuity. Exploration. Fun. Ten teams of two vied for the chance to have their beer recipe brewed, packaged and distributed on a national scale. Starting today, Stone is proud to release the champion entry from this year's competition-Stone Spotlight: Imperial Mutt Brown Ale. Fans may purchase the limited-release beer in 22-ounce bottles and on draft at retailers in select markets where Stone beer is sold.

Here Comes the IRS: Two Versions of 2015 Stone Imperial Russian Stout Released Today

Each spring, craft beer enthusiasts actually look forward to encountering the IRS--Stone Imperial Russian Stout, that is. A rich, hearty beer that emphasizes the roasty, chocolaty essence of dark malts, it stands out from Stone Brewing Co.'s typically hoppy stock, with a smooth, velvety body that's tasty when fresh, yet also perfectly suited for long periods of cellaring. And there is more to look forward to this year: As part of Stone's "Odd Beers for Odd Years" program (AKA another excuse to brew something new and creative), the California-based brewery is releasing a version infused with tea and spices, 2015 Stone CHAI-SPICED Imperial Russian Stout, alongside the classic version of this annual release. Starting today, the pair will begin arriving in 22-ounce bottles and on draft at bars, retailers and restaurants in markets where Stone beer is sold.

Unleashing the Old and the "Odd" Stone Releases Two Versions of 2015 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine

Since 1998, Stone Brewing Co. has released Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine, a much-anticipated robust, malty ale on an annual basis. In odd-numbered years, the company also releases an "Odd Year" version of the beer per its "Odd Beers for Odd Years" program. Today, 2015 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine (the classic version) and 2015 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine - Extra Hoppy will start arriving in 22-ounce bottles and on draft to restaurants, bars and retailers in select markets where Stone beer is sold.

Stone Brewing Co. Contributes more than $490,000 to Charity in 2014

Thanks to loyal fans, passionate volunteers, craft brewing compatriots and Stone employees, Stone Brewing Co. contributed more than $490,000 in cash and donated more than $230,000 worth of beer to various charities in 2014. As in previous years, the past 12 months were filled with fundraising events and other endeavors that benefitted a diverse group of organizations.

Encore! Encore!: Stone Re-Brews Popular Collaboration Baird / Ishii / Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA

At Stone Brewing Co., collaboration beers are looked at as an opportunity to get creative, experiment well beyond day-to-day brewing parameters, and utilize unique techniques and ingredients-all while celebrating the spirit of craft beer camaraderie. These beers are rarely brewed again, but in a gesture to outspoken and engaged craft beer fans, Stone is revisiting a particular collaboration that was first brewed in 2011 with Guam's Ishii Brewing Co. and Japan-based Baird Brewing Company. Baird / Ishii / Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA is brewed with Japanese sencha green tea and five different hops, including Sorachi Ace, a varietal originally developed in Japan. Starting today, the IPA will begin arriving in 22-ounce bottles and on draft at restaurants, bars and retail outlets in markets where Stone beer is sold.

After all, great beer is for everyone and anyone with the good taste to recognize it. With that goal in mind, the company is introducing Stone Delicious IPA, a citrusy ale dry-hopped exclusively with El Dorado hops. As if that wasn't enough, the beer has also been crafted to reduce gluten. Starting today, Stone Delicious IPA will begin arriving in 12-ounce six-packs to retail accounts and on draft to restaurants and bars where Stone beer is sold.
