Event Overview

On the hunt for new, small-batch & experimental beers? We’re tapping a couple special releases from Stone Brewing - Napa, where our Sr. Manager, Brewing & Innovation, Steve Gonzalez, crafts his award-winning creations. We pour through these limited-release beers until they run out, so early birds, worms: you know the drill.

Stone Borreo Gose w/ Apricot

  • ABV: 4.5%
  • Notes: Kettle sour brewed with coriander, salt and apricot. Apricot and other sour fruit notes are predominant with a very clean finish. Hints of salt and coriander.

Stone Growls Like a Tiger Double IPA

  • ABV: 8.5%
Tasting Notes:   We’ve made some solid IPAs at Napa so far.  This one is straight up epic.  Tropical fruit character abounds in this beer with intense mango, pineapple, stone fruit, and tangerine/orange citrus.  Uses very rare and very special Riwaka and Wai-Iti hops from New Zealand.  The companion beer to Purrs Like a Kitten Session IPA.  Got the names from when I turned on the mill and milled grain for the first time in Napa.  The mill ripped through the grain and then kept rolling, but was very quiet, leading me to describe it’s operation as: gnashing it’s teeth like a tiger (while milling grain) and purring like a kitten (while running but not milling grain).  Two epic beer names for two great beers.

Stone Medusa's Hop Shop Amber Ale

  • ABV: 5.8%

  • Notes: Amber Ale using Neo Mexicanus hop varieties Medusa and Zappa.  Malty as an amber should be, slight herbal and complex fruitiness that is challenging to describe.  Juicy fruit gum, lychee, mangosteen, kiwi maybe?  Refreshing for a malty beer.

Stone Sunday Sinner Stout

  • ABV: 5%
  • Notes: Not sweet, low bitterness from hops, slight roasted bitterness, flavors of dark chocolate and milk chocolate abound.  Dry, but with a creamy mouthfeel from the use of flaked oats & malted oats!
