Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station Soured Be Thy NAme

ABV - 8.4%

Style – Raspberry Sour Ale

Appearance – Mildly hazy, pinkish red with a pinkish white foam

Nose – Raspberry, honey, vanilla, with a near packaged powdered cool-aid or raspberry fun-dip aroma

Taste – Nose carries over with lots of tart raspberry, oak, and bubble-gum

Palate – Medium bodied with a refreshing tart/sour finish. Very deceptive for the ABV

Overall – Mike Lopez’s 15 year anniversary. Mike really wanted to make a Framboise lambic, but considering the use of bacteria for fermentation we went with the closest thing possible. An experimental high abv kettle sour fermented with raspberries and extra raspberries added after fermentation. Considering the high the abv this beer is very deceptive. Lots of raspberry from start to finish with some tart to sour acidity followed by some honey and bubblegum flavors.  Cheers to Mike!
