Style: Imperial Hefeweizen w/Tangerine & Lemon
General Notes: Unfiltered, Banana, Clove, Citrus Fruits, Spices, Warming
Overview: This is a brew that originally started in 2013 as a sort of collaboration brew with Matt Courtright and I. He wanted a tangerine hefe and I wanted a lemon hefe, so we ended up doing both. However, we quickly realized that this beer wasn’t going to fly as a traditional hefe so we made it Hefty. The yeast gives off a very distinctive Hefe aroma while the tangerine and lemon give it some depth. However, this imperial hefe or weizen bock (call it what you want) is very deceptive.
