Stone Liberty Station Mättzen
Event Overview

Always on the hunt for small-batch & experimental beers? Thursdays are your hot ticket! We’re tapping a special creation from the brewhouse at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station, where our Brewing Manager, Kris Ketcham, conjures up a slew of unique and experimental brews. We pour through these limited-release beers until they run out, so early birds, worms: all that jazz.

Stone Liberty Station Mättzen

Style – Märzen

Appearance – Clear golden amber with a creamy foam head

Aroma – Pear, apple, bread crust, doughy, white grape, and some mild sulfur

Taste – rich malt, light caramel, bready, red apple, honey dew melon

Palate – Medium body that drops off to a crisp finish with a lingering sweetness

Overall – A re-brew to remember Matt Courtright. This year we used a different yeast variety and it does change the beer from last years version a bit. The result is more crisp easy drinking lager with plenty of malt sweetness to be enjoyed.  You can either refer to this beer as a Marzen, Octoberfest, or Vienna Lager. The choice is yours.
