Behold our year-round releases: unique, big-character beers featuring bold flavors that defy traditional style guidelines and expectations. Except this might be what you have come to expect from us as we have strived to achieve a higher craft and full-flavor standard. Each one of these beers is an expression of what we stand for as a company and value as brewers—honesty, integrity and craftsmanship in our ingredients and brewing techniques.
We aren’t really accustomed to seasons but we acknowledge the existence of them with our inspired lineup of seasonal beers. Unlike the traditional four weather seasons, we only have three in our beer calendar. Each season though we come out with two releases—a seasonal and imperial seasonal—both of which reflect the flavors and styles best enjoyed during this timeframe.
We pride ourselves on brewing the beers that we like to drink and like our tastes, this is always evolving. These special releases are a reflection of our drive to branch out, break convention, and celebrate the art of brewing. Fitting to its name, we pull out special recipes for special times of the year and seek special ingredients for certain yearly releases to create odd beers for odd years.
While freshness is a key component of many beers—especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs—we’ve taken it further, a lot further, in this line of devastatingly fresh IPAs. You see, not only did we brew this beer with over 10 different hops, we’ve also gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you’re getting this double IPA in your hands within an extraordinarily short window. That’s why the Enjoy By date isn’t randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the bottle, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive. Instead, we’ve sent a clear message in the name of the beer itself—further proving...
We humbly admit that we were inspired to start brewing by other fantastic breweries and homebrewers. There are a whole lot of fellow craft brewers who we respect and admire, and who we've wanted to collaborate with. So instead of dreaming about it, in 2008 we created a new series of collaboration beers that allowed us to achieve our goal of working with different breweries and having some no-regards-for-boundaries fun in the process. Therefore, many of our collaborations don’t conform to preconceived beer styles, include ridiculous amounts of decadent, unfamiliar ingredients and use...
We love any excuse to brew another great beer, and the Stone Anniversary Celebration & Invitational Beer Festival provides a great opportunity to do just that. It’s always a good time, with many of our fans coming out to enjoy great food and, of course, great beer. Each one of these commemorative ales is a special thank-you to everyone who has shadowed us on our journey. And a chance for us to explore fresh hop-driven territory. Can you imagine what Stone Brewing would be like without those bright green, lupulin-rich cones? Neither can we!
For years, we’ve experimented with our beers, transforming them into unique variations of our legendary recipes. These phenomenal beers had never been bottled—until very recently. This series represents the most exclusive beers we have to offer and gives you the rare chance to compare side-by-side what aging and souring a brew in a variety of wine and alcohol infused barrels can do to the original. We’re giving you fair warning now. Due to the specialness of such a series, very limited quantities are produced.
Back in 2014, we launched the Stone Berlin Groundbreaking Collaborations campaign, offering fans the chance to preorder fourteen special beers that would be created with some of the biggest names in the craft brewing industry.
With the official opening of Stone Brewing Berlin and the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Berlin behind us, we’ve begun brewing this series of celebratory beers.
We’re incredibly grateful for all your support and for joining us in our excitement to make these unique...
This IPA is spiked at bottling with Brettanomyces, a wild yeast that, over time, brings about charmingly unpredictable complexities of spice, funk, acidity and more. The operative words in our beer-cellaring thesis are "over time." For those of you who are impatient or like to experiment, the earliest we recommend sampling this beer is one year before the date on the label. The beer won't be fully carbonated until that date. Ideally, you'll want to cellar the beer up to-or beyond-the Enjoy After date to help it reach its full evolutionary potential. At that point, some facets of the Brett...
Craft beer, by its very nature, is about inventiveness and creativity. As part of our ongoing efforts to celebrate both, we created an intra-company brewing competition that pits two-person teams from our Brew Crew against each other in a light-hearted yet extremely serious battle to see whose beer recipe will go from pilot brew to distributed sensation overnight.
The rules are simple…go huge and be amazing. Every brewer on Team Stone can participate. Ingenuity and top-notch brewing skills are highly urged as well as necessary to grab the Stone Spotlight Series title. Each recipe...
No single day could contain something as momentous as our 20th anniversary here at Stone Brewing. So we celebrated this milestone over the course of an entire year by releasing some fan-favorite beers from our 20-year history, using their original recipes and bottle art, and looking back on some highlights from the past on our way into a future filled with continued creativity, passion and a helluva lot of fun.
There is no happenstance or coincidence. Dumb luck is a fallacy and randomness a commonly accepted mistruth. Much of what seemingly falls into place and seems so natural is a result of Stochasticity, a concept embraced and exalted by this special and unpredictable series of beers, where exotic notions, ingredients and ideas coalesce at an interesting and often unexpected endpoint.
As with any good epic, herein lies the promise of larger-than-life experiences, heroics and twists & turns as the adventure unfolds. These bottle-conditioned ales were specifically designed to be aged until sometime after December 12, 2012. Provided anyone was able to keep their hands off of them, this lineup was intended to be enjoyed in a "vertical" tasting—starting with 02.02.02 and ending with 12.12.12. Within it you’d find each one unique to its year of release. Each providing its own "twist & turn" in the plotline. Each one released one year, one month and one day from the...
