FACT SHEET: Stone Notorious P.O.G. Berliner Weisse
This beer is the culmination of a journey that began on our Stone World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station 10bbl brewhouse. The Notorious P.O.G. was first served at Hop-Con 4.0, as a collaboration brewed with actor/comedian Jonah Ray and our very own Kris Ketcham, Sr. Manager of Brewing & Innovation - Liberty Station. It had the longest line throughout the night, and we knew we owed it to our fans to brew this on a larger scale. For those unfamiliar with Hawaiian juice lore, P.O.G. stands for Passion, Orange, Guava.

FACT SHEET: Wil Wheaton / Drew Curtis / Greg Koch Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout
Front and center this year is the result of Wil’s creative machinations taking the art direction duties with world-renowned fantasy artist Joe Jusko representing our gargoyle’s triumph over the evils in the world of beer. Six years into this amazing w00tstout legacy and I continue to be stunned and humbled by the response of our fans. Sure, it’s an amazingly delicious massive Russian Imperial Stout partially inspired by Kentucky Derby Pie of Drew’s home state. And speaking of Drew, we asked him to lean into two of his strengths: drinking w00tstout and chatting up a storm. So this year he’ll MC our wildly nerd-nominious celebration of beer and geekery known as HopCon/w00tstout release party held annually during San Diego’s Comic-Con. The nerd lives in all of us. Celebrate it! Now is the golden age for us lovers of awesome things. We’re here. We’re vast, and we’ve got great taste. This beer is an ode to you, Fellow Nerd.

The Beer Jesus From America: Greg Koch
Koch co-founded Stone Brewing Co. in 1996 with Steve Wagner, helping to resurrect the American craft brewing scene. Since then, he’s spread its gospel throughout the world. A tongue-in-cheek “Der Bier Jesus aus Amerika” (translated to “The Beer Jesus from America”) moniker was bestowed upon him in 2014 by The Berliner Kurier, a German tabloid.

US Craft Brewer Trying to Succeed in China
Stone Brewing, headquartered in Escondido, California, is one of the ten largest craft brewers in the U.S. This past summer, the 22-year-old company achieved a unique distinction: it became the first independent U.S. craft brewer to open a brewpub in China.
At the recent Great American Beer Festival in China, C.E.O. Dominic Engels spoke to CGTN’s Hendrik Sybrandy about Stone’s new bar in Shanghai.

9 best German beers
Stone Brewing started life in California, 1996, and twenty years later their impressive growth enabled them to open a brewery in Berlin.
This German-brewed beer follows the city’s classic Berliner Weisse style, using local lactobacillus bacteria for fermentation while being brought up to date with modern German hop varieties Huell Melon and Callista.
It has the sourness and flavour of not-quite-ripe summer fruits and, just as your mouth starts to pucker, a crisp, dry graininess emerges – giving it a satisfyingly refreshing finish.

4 Summer Beers We’re Still Drinking
It’s hard to keep up with Stone’s release schedule because the brewery is so damn prolific. And while the lion’s share of those releases are really great IPAs. This is not a great IPA—it’s a great Berliner Weisse. Tart and puckering, with a body that disappears on your tongue before you’re through with it. But it’s all underscored by a note of sweet melon. It’s only 4.7%, and it was released earlier this summer but you can still get ahold of it.

Uh-Oh, Germany Is Rapidly Running Out Of Beer Bottles
The Californian craft beer company Stone Brewing has found a solution. Its Berlin plant is selling its beer in cans. That's a daring choice in Germany, where drinking beer out of a can is often considered uncouth.
Master brewer Thomas Tyrell says that when Stone opened its first European brewery in Berlin two years ago, they decided to ignore the German bottle trend and opt for cans instead.

How to Have the Best Damn Taco-and-Beer Crawl in San Diego
Nicknamed the Capital of Craft, San Diego is home to more than 130 breweries. On top of that, “America’s Finest City” was the first to introduce fish tacos to America, and I couldn’t think of any better food-and-drink pairing. So I dedicated two entire days to walking from breweries to eateries, drinking tacos and eating beer—wait, other way around. Eating tacos and drinking beer. Yeah, that’s it.

11 Gluten-Free Beers That Just Taste Like Fantastic Beers
Leave it to Stone -- one of craft beer's earliest (and reigning) powerhouses of hoppy brews -- to develop a "crafted to reduce gluten" beer that is remarkable as an IPA even before you consider that it has a place on a gluten-free list. Using (tellingly named) Lemondrop and El Dorado hops, this beer is straight-up bright, citrusy, and boldly hoppy with a dry, bitter finish, easily filling any voids for hopheads who have to be gluten abstinent. This is the only gluten-free beer I've ever served to friends who had no idea it was in that category through the entire bottle. Considering that, you should probably check this beer out even if you're not gluten intolerant!

Stone Brewing Has Opened Another New Taproom—This Time in China
Since its founding back in 1996, Stone Brewing has long been a trailblazer in the American craft beer community, originally making a name for itself with its big West Coast-style brews and going on to become America’s 8th largest craft brewery with distribution in all 50 states. But recently, Stone has been leading the way on a different front: the global one. Today, the California-based brand opened the first taproom from an independent American craft brewery in China.

25 Beers That Changed America
The original pale -- RIP! -- put Stone on the map, but it was the 1997 release of Arrogant Bastard that really set Stone’s destiny into motion. “You are not worthy,” the label lovingly chides. And with that, Stone positioned itself as a brand that basically turned its beers into personalities, and brewer Greg Koch into a rock star of the brewing world, setting the stage for the dudes behind your favorite brews to emerge from the shadows and into the spotlight.
