If you’ve been following along and enjoying each Stone One Batch Dispatch release (of course you have), you’ll rememberour last beer, Mango Maya Milkshake IPA, was a winner of a homebrew competition we produced in cooperation with the American Homebrewers Association (AHA). All the way back in January 2020 we crowned another winner just before everything got all… 2020. The top-voted beer was a most unexpected Wee Heavy (also known as a Scotch Ale) inspired by pineapple upside down cake by homebrewer Jason Dunn. It’s a style you don’t see so often these days. The result is a rich, malt-forward beer with heavy caramelized character, accented by tangy pineapple. We’re excited to finally get to brew and bring it to you! Just remember to save room for dessert.
