2014 Double Bastard Ale 22oz Btl - Sold Out
Originally brewed to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Arrogant Bastard Ale, Double Bastard Ale debuted in November 1998 as an amped-up version of that already aggressive beer. This heavy ale is appreciated by only a few, and that's just fine with us. We didn't brew this behemoth to please anyone other than ourselves.

One Batch Dispatch You Had Me At Churro Maibock 16oz 4pk
Nothing quite like the incredible smell of fresh churros in the air. Imagine if you could can that experience. Now stop imagining! For this churro-inspired beer, we went with a Maibock style for its lightly toasted, bready characteristics that allow the cinnamon to shine alongside balanced sweetness from just a touch of honey. It's a liquid tribute to the pinnacle of fair food in all its crispy, spiced, portable glory.

2015 Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine 22oz Btl

Barley wines are traditionally hefty brews, but ours is downright excessive. The huge maltiness of this beer is only tamed by an equally prodigious addition of hops, creating a rich, slightly sweet, caramel-hued ale infused with assertive bitterness and bright hop notes, all culminating in a pleasing dryness. While it will evolve into an even more glorious brew with age, this beer's delicious onslaught of flavors will seriously challenge your ability to wait any longer to drink it.

2013 Stone Imperial Russian Stout 22oz Btl - Sold Out
Stone Imperial Russian Stout is so thick, rich, and, well, sinful, you might worry that you'll be doomed to the fiery pits just for thinking about a sip. Rest assured, however, that even though this seemingly pernicious brew is true as black as sin, we guarantee that no actual sin was committed to making it...you'll have to add that on your own. This massive and intensely aromatic beer abounds with notes of chocolate, coffee, black currants, anise, and roastiness, and its heavy palate is nothing to be trifled with.

2017 Stone Mikhail Expresso Imperial Russian Stout 500mL Btl - Sold Out

Stone Imperial Russian Stout is a thick, rich and sinful beer that’s heavy on the palate and massively aromatic with notes of anise, black currants, coffee and roastiness.

CELLAR NOTES

Intense coffee characteristics abound from both the dark malts and the espresso, while rich caramel-like and vanilla notes from the bourbon barrel aging adds layers of complexity, a touch of sweetness and a vibrant dark fruit finish.  Since this is an unusual take on our traditional imperial Russian stout, “Mikhail” pays homage to Mikhail Bulgakov, whose novel The Master and Margarita is considered the foremost of Soviet satires.

Shipping to CA only. We can only ship a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of eight (8) bottles of beer per-order. You can mix and match with any 4-packs or 6-packs.

This holiday season, gather around the fireplace but skip the eggnog. For this extra-special One Batch Dispatch, we took a German-style holiday bock [that's the "yule.") and aged it in charred bourbon barrels (that's the "fire.") Dark malts and Munich malt from Germanv combined with barrel complexity give this beer a rich caramel &, toffee character. There's a hint of sweetness you'd expect for a holiday beer, but it's the balance and subtlety that make this 0% creation worth celebrating.

2014 Stone Winter Harvest Belgian-Style Golden Ale 500mL Btl - Sold Out

This golden beauty was created solely for barrel experimentation—you won’t find an unaged “2012 Stone Belgian-Style Golden Ale” in bottles anywhere (you can stop looking now).

CELLAR NOTES
Stone Brewer Matt Courtright came up with the recipe for this Belgian-style ale, designing it specifically to be aged in wine barrels. We did just that for over two years, during which native wild yeasts continued fermenting the beer. The result is an off-dry ale with pleasing levels of malt and tart fruit, especially tropical fruit flavors: guava from the Merlot grapes and pineapple from the Sauvignon Blanc barrels. Oak tannins contribute mellow non-hop bitterness while the Belgian yeast lends muted notes of clove and banana. Cellared properly, the dryness and complexity will increase over time.

One Batch Dispatch - Stone 9 Minutes To Midnight Black IPA 16oz 4pk Cans
It's been more than nine years since we opened our doors at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station & started brewing. Since then, multiple beers originating here went on to become national releases and even year-round mainstays. (A few also won some GABF medals, multiple times, but who's counting?) This double-dry-hopped black IPA from Liberty Station brewer Kris Ketcham is rich with tropical & fruity hop characteristics and light notes of coffee& chocolate. But there’s a dash of the unexpected: a blend-in of whiskey barrelaged beer (our 25th Anniversary Triple IPA, which just so happens to be another of Kris’s creations) for the finishing touch. As perfect a tribute to nearly a decade of experimental brewing as it gets.

2011 Stone BELGO Anise Imperial Russian Stout 22oz Btl - Sold Out
Due to compliance laws, this beer is only available for shipping in California and Washington D.C.

Stone Imperial Russian Stout is so thick, rich, and well, sinful, you might feel certain that you are to be doomed to the fiery pits just for thinking about taking a sip. It almost seems evil. Rest assured, however, that our ever-faithful gargoyle has done his job well by successfully warding off all evil spirits. In fact, we guarantee that no sin was committed in the production of this seemingly pernicious brew. We will admit that we used copious doses of decadence in creating the viscous beauty you have before you, but no actual sin... You’ll have to add that on your own.

This particular edition is brewed in the authentic historical style of an Imperial Russian Stout, and then, shall we say... embellished. Specifically, by using a Belgian yeast strain, adding liberal amounts of star anise, and soaking it (which arguably could be considered ‘historical’ as they used wooden barrels back then rather than today’s stainless steel).

While our original version is “intensely aromatic (notes of anise, black currants, coffee, roastiness, and alcohol) and heavy on the palate,” this Odd Year version doesn’t just have ‘notes’ of anise... it screams it. Big, loud, and proud. Like the Russian Czarists. Presumably. Truth is, we can’t say for certain, but one sip and it’s easy to imagine it must be true.
